Yosemite Sam is an Americananimated cartooncharacter in the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons produced by Warner Bros. G casino blackpool poker times. Animation. The character appeared in dozens of cartoons from the 1940s to the 2000s.
1943[edit]
- Super-Rabbit (features the cowboy character 'Cottontail Smith', who sounds a lot like Sam)
1944[edit]
- Stage Door Cartoon (features a Southern sheriff character that sounds very much like Sam, except for a more defined southern stereotype to his voice, making him more like a prototypical version of Chuck Jones' short-lived character, Colonel Shuffle)
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works.
- He finds one in the Yosemite Sam-esque Colonel Shuffle, a neurotic riverboat gambler played by Billy Bletcher. After Shuffle's gunplay clears out the customer base in the casino when another player tops his hand of three queens with one of four kings, Bugs remains as his only challenger in a poker game.
- Bugs Bunny Rides Again. My favorite of Bugs’ foes is Yosemite Sam. He’s not as stupid as Elmer, but he’s still kinda empty upstairs. They’re fighting through the whole short. They decide to settle their differences like they do in old westerns by playing cards. So Bugs sports a costume like he normally does. This time with a Cowboy hat and gun holster.
- Piker's Peak is a Warner Bros. Looney Tunes animated short featuring Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam, directed by Friz Freleng. It was originally released on May 25, 1957. The title is a pun on Pike's Peak.
